Vision is 0-4 against Melba since April of 2022 but things could change on Monday. Vision is taking a road trip to take on Melba at 5:00 p.m. Vision knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Melba likes a good challenge.
On Friday, Vision made easy work of Idaho City and carried off a 13-4 win.

Vision let Johanna Wolfe and Rayah Buster run wild. Wolfe went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Buster got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those three stolen bases gave Buster a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Shaely Vollmer, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Vision always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .686. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Melba was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Wendell, falling 11-5.
Olivia Atack made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyla Harris, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base.
Melba's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Vision, their record now sits at 2-7.
Monday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Vision has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .556. However, it's not like Melba struggles in that department as they've averaged .435. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Vision suffered a grim 16-5 defeat to Melba in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can Vision avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
