The Crossroads Christian Colts put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past Lawrence Academy with points to spare, taking the game 81-65. The final score was a far cry from the score of their previous head-to-head, which saw the teams combine for two points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Crossroads Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ben Gladieux, who scored 25 points along with 9 rebounds. Gladieux is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now stole two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brodrick Jenkins, who scored 23 points along with 5 rebounds.
Crossroads Christian has yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 6-0 record. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.5 points per game. As for Lawrence Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
Crossroads Christian will head out on the road to face off against St. Thomas More Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Thomas More Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 158th, while Crossroads Christian is ranked 20th). As for Lawrence Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against John Paul II Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
