Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the West Rusk Raiders walked away with it. They enjoyed a cozy 50-35 victory over New Diana on Friday. Winning may never get old, but West Rusk sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Jackson rushed for 125 yards and three touchdowns, while Murphy rushed for 185 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.3 yards per carry. Murphy was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 60 yards. Ty Harper got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
West Rusk's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.3 points per game. As for New Diana, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.
West Rusk will square off against Daingerfield at TBD on Friday. New Diana does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
