The Eastside Tigers pushed their score all the way to 56 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 77-56 walloping at the hands of Richwoods. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Eastside has suffered yet this season.
Loss or not, Eastside got some senior leadership from Will Love who scored 19 points and Jahaan Green who scored 19 points. Green hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Mahdee McNair, who scored nine points.
Eastside has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for Richwoods, their victory bumped their record up to 13-4.
Eastside won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Camden Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. Camden Catholic will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Richwoods, they will be playing at home against Urbana at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Urbana knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five games -- so hopefully Richwoods likes a good challenge.
