Irondequoit and Brockport are an even 4-4 against one another since January of 2016, but not for long. The Irondequoit Eagles will be home for the holidays to greet the Brockport Blue Devils at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Tuesday, Irondequoit was beaten by Spencerport 66-38.
Despite their loss, Irondequoit saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kailey Besio, who scored 12 points, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Smith, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Brockport's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell to Gates Chili 44-39.
Irondequoit's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Brockport, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
Irondequoit strolled past Brockport in their previous matchup back in February by a score of 38-21. Does Irondequoit have another victory up their sleeve, or will Brockport turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
