The Ellet Orangemen will head out on the road to challenge the Jackson Polar Bears at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Ellet will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
Last Wednesday, Ellet strolled past the Griffins with points to spare, taking the game 55-41. Ellet pushed the score to 48-28 by the end of the third, a deficit the Griffins cut but never quite recovered from.
Ellet's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Sanaiiya Gray, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds, and Caitlyn Holmes, who scored 27 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Holmes hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Saniya Williams was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Meanwhile, Jackson waltzed into their game on Monday with three straight wins but they left with four. They secured a 50-44 W over Louisville.
Ellet is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Jackson, they pushed their record up to 17-3 with that victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
