Lamar Consolidated lost to Benjamin Davis back in August of 2019, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Mustangs walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Falcons. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Payton Joyner paced Lamar Consolidated's offense, picking up seven kills. Joyner got some help from Alexa Perez and her 11 assists. Julissa Zepeda controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.

Lamar Consolidated's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Benjamin Davis, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lamar Consolidated will welcome Fort Bend Willowridge at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Benjamin Davis, they will face off against Porter at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Spartans have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
