The Highland Huskies will head out to square off against the Strasburg Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.
Highland is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing Wiggins: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Highland blew Wiggins out of the water with a 71-44 final score. The Huskies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 21 points or more this season.

Brogan Palmer continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 13 points and nine boards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in blocks (six). Rowdy Watson was another key player, going 5 for 8 en route to 13 points and five assists.
Highland smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in nine consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Strasburg entered their tilt with Platte Valley on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took down the Broncos 59-41. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Broncos are ranked 165th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Highland better keep an eye on Tyce Bollers. He was instrumental in Strasburg's win, going 8 of 14 on his way to 25 points. Bollers continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Nick Glatfelter, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Highland's record is now 14-1. As for Strasburg, their record is now 13-2.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Highland has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 40 boards per game. However, it's not like Strasburg struggles in that department as they've been averaging 33.1 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Highland didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Strasburg in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, but they still walked away with a 63-57 win. Will Highland repeat their success, or does Strasburg have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
