The Linn Wildcats lost against the Owensville Dutchmen back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Linn fell 43-32 to Owensville. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Linn in their matchups with Owensville: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the loss, Linn still got an impressive performance from Kiana Hostetler, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for her.
Linn's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Owensville, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Linn will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fatima at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Owensville will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Helias at 7:30 p.m. on January 8, 2024.
