The Sunnyside Blue Devils will be playing in front of their home fans against the Boulder Creek Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sunnyside will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
Sunnyside can now show off 18 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand Tucson High Magnet School a 4-0 shutout. Four seems to be a good number for Sunnyside as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.
They hit Tucson High Magnet School with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Angel Bracamontes pulido (2),
Aaron Abarca, and
Armando Alvizar.
Meanwhile, with a playoff game on the line, Boulder Creek rose to the challenge on Thursday. They won by a goal and slipped past the Wolverines 5-4. That's two games straight that Boulder Creek has won by exactly one goal.
Sunnyside pushed their record up to 22-0-1 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 48 goals over those six matches. As for Boulder Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
