Basketball Recap: Muddy River Homeschool Beats Good Samaritan Homeschool for Their 20th Straight Win

Muddy River HomeSchool put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Good Samaritan HomeSchool Hornets, posting a 79-42 victory. The Counselors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Muddy River HomeSchool's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caleb Sanders, who went 8 of 19 on his way to 18 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. Sanders' afternoon made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Luke Sanders, who went 9 for 14 en route to 21 points in addition to six boards and five steals.

Muddy River HomeSchool was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Good Samaritan HomeSchool only posted seven assists.

Good Samaritan HomeSchool lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being George Fogo, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 12 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominic Fogo, who posted 13 points.

Muddy River HomeSchool's victory bumped their record up to 20-0. As for Good Samaritan HomeSchool, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-3 record this season.

Muddy River HomeSchool wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 82-41 win against Shreveport HomeSchool Sports on the 17th. Good Samaritan HomeSchool has also already played their next match, a 59-55 victory against Laurel HomeSchool on the 17th.
