Wren never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over the Southside Tigers. Considering the Hurricanes have won six matches by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Wren is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Southside, they dropped their record down to 3-14 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Wren beat the Tigers by a score of 15-0 later that day.
