Meanwhile, Pearland unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They lost to Dawson on the road by a decisive 21-7 margin. Having soared to a lofty 73 points in the game before, Pearland couldn't push the score so high this time.
The losing side was boosted by Ladamion Mcdowell, who rushed for 150 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.3 yards per carry.
Alief Taylor now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Pearland, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.
