IV Section III recap November 13, 2013
River Valley extended the longest winning streak in IV Section III this week by beating Page, 75-7. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Dust Devils.
River Valley took down the Sand Devils 75-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Derek Advocate threw for 101 yards and 3 touchdowns and ran for 15 yards during the win.
Terry Staggs' team's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Brandon Long chipped in 92 yards. Cody Rice helped River Valley's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 27 yards.
The Dust Devils' dynamic duo of Advocate and Angelo Martel proved tough for Page to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Rice helped River Valley's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 27 yards.
He was 3-4 with 0 interceptions.
Wickenburg's Charles Johnson and Cloud Fritts led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Johnson has thrown for 1,226 yards this season, while Fritts has 41 catches for 536 yards. Long from River Valley leads the league in rushing with 1,722 yards.
The Dust Devils led the league in scoring this week after putting up 75 points on Jeff Wheatley's team. Advocate ran for 15 yards in the win.
