Eustis is 8-2 against Mount Dora since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Panthers will take on the Hurricanes at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Eustis is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They never let Jones get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The Panthers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Sean Griffin looked comfortable as he struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February.

At the plate, Eustis got a massive performance out of Jacob Lucroy, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave Lucroy a new career-high. Couper Gatch was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Eustis hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jones struck out ten times.
Meanwhile, Mount Dora made easy work of Atlantic on Thursday and carried off an 8-1 victory. The win continues a trend for the Hurricanes in their matchups with the Sharks: they've now won five in a row.
The team relied heavily on Jacob James, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Ryan Crow also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Mount Dora's record is now 17-7. As for Eustis, they moved to 13-11 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak.
Eustis' speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's game. The Panthers have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Mount Dora, though, as they've been averaging only 1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Eustis continue to outrun the ball?
Eustis came up short against Mount Dora in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 5-0. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
