Davidson is 9-1 against Bryant since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Davidson Warriors will be staying on the road to face off against the Bryant Hurricanes at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Davidson suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They suffered a rough 69-49 defeat at the hands of Baker. Davidson has not had much luck with Baker recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Bryant lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on two weeks ago was a bit more commanding. They were dealt a 84-26 loss at the hands of Baker. While losing is never fun, Bryant can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 350th, while Baker is ranked 21st).
Davidson has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Bryant, they bumped their record down to 2-14 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road.
Everything came up roses for Davidson against Bryant in their previous meeting back in February of 2022 as the team secured a 67-36 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Davidson since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
