Leonardtown can attribute much of their success to Gretchen Fleck, who went 5 for 12 on her way to 12 points in addition to five boards and four steals, and Allie Robrecht, who went 5 of 7 on her way to 10 points and eight rebounds. Fleck continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Eva Weller, who posted six points.
Leonardtown smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive boards in seven consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Huntingtown put another one in the bag back in December of 2024 to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against McDonough by a score of 53-45.
Huntingtown's win came from a few key players Leonardtown will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Autumn Harrod, who went 9 of 18 on her way to 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Ripple, who had 12 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Leonardtown has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 37.9 boards per game. Leonardtown skirted past Huntingtown 37-35 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Leonardtown since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
