Starks came into Monday's contest having lost 12 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Elton Indians an 18-0 shutout on Monday. With that victory, the Panthers brought their scoring average up to 7 runs per game.

Kaison Howard made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ethan O'Banion, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. He also got a hit, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Nate Gore, who scored two runs and stole Three bases.

Starks always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .630. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
