After flying high against the Cristo Rey Research Triangle Bulls on Tuesday, the Neuse Christian Academy Lions came back down to earth. Neuse Christian Academy was dealt a 60-32 loss at the hands of Wayne Christian on Thursday. Neuse Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-6.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gracyn Williams, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Morgan Little , who scored 9 points.
Neuse Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Wayne Christian, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Neuse Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Friendship Christian at 6:30 p.m. on December 15th. As for Wayne Christian, they will be playing at home against Cape Fear Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Cape Fear Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 239th, while Wayne Christian is ranked 58th).
