The Emery Spartans waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Juab by a score of 52-39. That's another feather in the cap for Emery, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Emery's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Wade Stilson led the charge by scoring four points along with 12 rebounds and six steals. Stilson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Zack Tuttle was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Emery's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4. As for Juab, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-7.
Emery will head out on the road to challenge Delta at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Delta has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Juab, they will be playing at home against Carbon at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Carbon is ranked 89th, while Juab is ranked 65th).
