Basketball Recap: Adairsville Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Adairsville suffered their biggest loss since November 22, 2024 on Monday. They lost 82-62 to the Paulding County Patriots. That makes it the first time this season the Tigers have let down their home crowd.

Despite the loss, Adairsville still got an impressive performance from Xavious Nalls, who went 10 of 20 on his way to 24 points and five rebounds. Nalls' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Pearson, who posted nine points.

Even though they lost, Adairsville was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Paulding County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jerron Wilson, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten assists. The dominant performance gave Wilson a new career-high in assists. Another player making a difference was Jayden Lawson, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 17 points and three steals.

Adairsville's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-7. As for Paulding County, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Adairsville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 72-66 loss against Rome on the 3rd. As for Paulding County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 54-52 defeat against Campbell on the 7th.
