The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Shaw in their matchups with Bedford: they've now lost nine in a row.
Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kyra Smith-Goard, who scored eight points. Rayne Rallings was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Shaw's loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-3. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 15.3 points per game. As for Bedford, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Shaw will be playing at home against Bard Early College at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bedford, they will head out on the road to face off against South at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
