There's no place like home for the Pana Panthers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They breezed by Southwestern at home to the tune of 49-21. With Pana ahead 30-8 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Pana found their leader in underclassman Ryleigh Casner, who scored 18 points along with six steals. That's the first time this season that Casner scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey Laker, who scored eight points.
Pana's win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-17. As for Southwestern, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.
Pana will be playing at home against Pleasant Plains at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pleasant Plains will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Southwestern, they will head out on the road to face off against Ramsey at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
