Shikellamy has gone 6-0-1 against Wellsboro recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Braves will welcome the Hornets at 2:30 p.m.
Shikellamy is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 14 runs last Friday, they were much more limited against Selinsgrove on Monday. They fell just short of the Seals by a score of 2-1.

Charlie Walter spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
Meanwhile, while Wellsboro put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Wyalusing Valley. The Hornets put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 16-0 win. Considering the Hornets have won six games by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Gabe Sprouse was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Wellsboro: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 6-7 otherwise. Sprouse was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
In other batting news, Wellsboro got a big performance out of Cameron Owlett, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and two runs. That's the most hits Owlett has posted since back in May of 2024. Alec Magli was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and two runs.
Wellsboro has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Shikellamy, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-12.
Everything went Shikellamy's way against Wellsboro in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Shikellamy made off with an 11-0 win. Will the Braves repeat their success, or do the Hornets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
