Southlake Carroll has gone 9-1 against Timber Creek recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Southlake Carroll Dragons will head out to square off against the Timber Creek Falcons at 5:45 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Southlake Carroll took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They blew past Trinity, posting a 72-37 victory. Given the Dragons' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 157th, while the Trojans are ranked 522nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Timber Creek had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came out on top against the Chargers by a score of 52-42.

Timber Creek's win came from a few key players Southlake Carroll will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Elena Gonzalez, who posted eight points and five steals. Those eight points gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jillian Topping, who had 12 points and four steals.

Timber Creek was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Keller Central only posted five assists.

Southlake Carroll has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. As for Timber Creek, their win bumped their record up to 18-8.

Southlake Carroll took their victory against Timber Creek when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 54-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Southlake Carroll since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
