While Maddie McGlynn delivered a dominant effort on Wednesday, a win just wasn't in the cards for West York Area. Nobody could stop McGlynn as she struck out 16 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, McGlynn and West York Area will take on Shippensburg at 4:15 p.m. on the 24th. The Bulldogs will be headed into this one with a sizable disadvantage in the rankings (they're ranked 188 places lower in Pennsylvania), but they're not letting that get them down.
