The Eminence Eels's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their sixth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Indianapolis Crispus Attucks, falling 96-22. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Eminence has scored all season.
Leading Indianapolis Crispus Attucks to victory were Eric Jackson II and Ron Rutland III. Jackson II dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds, while Rutland III went 8 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 28 points and 2 assists. Jackson II set a new season high mark in steals with two. Another player making a difference was Jacson Payton, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Eminence bumped their record down to 1-8 with that defeat, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Indianapolis Crispus Attucks, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eminence will finish 2023 at home by hosting Indianapolis Washington at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Indianapolis Crispus Attucks will be home for the holidays to greet Riverside at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Riverside will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 344th, while Indianapolis Crispus Attucks is ranked 51st).
