The East Coweta Indians had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on Pebblebrook with a sharp 61-37 win on Saturday. The win was just what East Coweta needed coming off of a 64-24 defeat in their prior game.
Leading East Coweta to victory were Kezoriyah Blackshear and Kieara Lugo. Blackshear scored 16 points along with four steals, while Lugo dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lugo has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Olivia Daniel, who scored five points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
East Coweta's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-12. As for Pebblebrook, their loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-17.
East Coweta will take on Pebblebrook at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pebblebrook and East Coweta are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Pebblebrook, they will head out on the road to take on East Coweta at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully East Coweta focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Saturday.
