Lawrenceburg is 7-1 against Jac-Cen-Del since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Tigers will take on the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Lawrenceburg's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Jac-Cen-Del's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Lawrenceburg gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They skirted past South Dearborn 5-3. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by exactly two runs.

Brody Price
Brody Price looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. He has become a key player for Lawrenceburg: the team is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 0-3 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Lawrenceburg's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Landon Cornett, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Kolton Chase also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Meanwhile, Jac-Cen-Del strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on Morristown with a sharp 11-5 victory. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Dylan Ricke and Parker Pindell did most of the damage at the plate: Ricke went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Pindell went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those three hits gave Ricke a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Johnson, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one run.
The win made it two in a row for Lawrenceburg and bumps their season record up to 3-3. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for Jac-Cen-Del, their record is now 4-0.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Lawrenceburg has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Jac-Cen-Del struggles in that department as they've been averaging 11.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Lawrenceburg took their victory against Jac-Cen-Del when the teams last played back in May of 2023 by a conclusive 12-1 score. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
