The Pine Hill Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Carrizozo 80-31 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Pine Hill has managed all season.
Pine Hill's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Channing James, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and six steals. James hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Brett Baker, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Pine Hill has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. As for Carrizozo, their defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-10.
Pine Hill will take on Maxwell at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Carrizozo, they will head out on the road to take on Cliff at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Cliff is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
