Basketball Game Preview: O'Farrell Charter Falcons vs. School for Entrepreneurship & Technology Lions

Two dominant guards in Liona Rusom and Kameron Owens are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The O'Farrell Charter Falcons will host the School for Entrepreneurship & Technology Lions at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. O'Farrell Charter will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, O'Farrell Charter didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against The Cambridge School, but they still walked away with a 41-36 victory.

It was another big night for Rusom, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 steals. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.3 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty'Reiona WashingTon, who posted 12 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask School for Entrepreneurship & Technology). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Preuss UCSD 48-17. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 20 points or more this season.

School for Entrepreneurship & Technology had a senior duo take command as Owens dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 steals and Anicka Redondo dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten boards. Owens is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 15 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Jannat Assiaban, who earned two points along with eight rebounds and four steals.

School for Entrepreneurship & Technology's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-6. As for O'Farrell Charter, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

O'Farrell Charter strolled past School for Entrepreneurship & Technology in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a score of 36-22.
