After a string of five wins, the Forestview Jaguars's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 65-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Stuart W. Cramer. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Forestview in their matchups with Stuart W. Cramer: they've now lost five in a row.
Several Jaguars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tralyn Phillips, who scored 16 points along with five steals. Phillips is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Miangel Thompson, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds.
Stuart W. Cramer found their leader in underclassman Oshauna Holland, who scored 25 points along with nine assists and six rebounds. Holland is absolutely dominating the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Lauren Humphrey, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds.
Forestview's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Stuart W. Cramer, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Forestview will take on Crest at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Crest focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Tuesday. As for Stuart W. Cramer, they will be playing at home against Kings Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kings Mountain is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
