The third road contest was the charm for the Rock Hills Grizzlies, as they earned their first road win of the season. They claimed a resounding 50-18 victory over Stockton on the road. This was payback for Rock Hills, who suffered a 59-44 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Leading Rock Hills to victory were Cooper McDill and Eli Whelchel. McDill scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds, while Whelchel scored 15 points along with 9 rebounds. The match was McDill's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cruz Navarro, who scored 6 points.
Rock Hills' win bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Stockton, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Rock Hills will be playing at home against Thunder Ridge on Saturday. Stockton will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Norton at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
