Make it eight blowout wins for the Trinity Trojans this season. They breezed by Fairview on the road to the tune of 64-23 on Saturday. Given Trinity's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 273rd, while the Warriors are ranked 627th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Trinity's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but De'oshania Bennett led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. Bennett is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Iniya Charlton, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten steals.
Trinity has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Fairview, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12.
Trinity will head out on the road to challenge the at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. John Hay's defense has only allowed 28 points per game this season, so the Trojans' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Fairview, they will be playing at home against the Hurricanes at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
