Hobart is 8-2 against River Forest since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Hobart Brickies will be playing at home against the River Forest Ingots at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Hobart is ranked 265th, while River Forest is ranked 258th).
Hobart can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They walked away with a 60-50 victory over Calumet New Tech. The win was just what Hobart needed coming off of a 73-41 defeat in their prior matchup.
Anthony Hnilo was his usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with 5 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Felix Lopez, who scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds.
Meanwhile, River Forest's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against North Judson-San Pierre, falling 61-24. River Forest has not had much luck with North Judson-San Pierre recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
The losses dropped Hobart to 2-3 and Calumet New Tech to 0-3.
Hobart was able to grind out a solid win over River Forest when the teams last played back in December of 2022, winning 44-34. Will Hobart repeat their success, or does River Forest have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
