Economedes was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from fifth to third in 5A Region IV District 30. The Jaguars defeated Vela 42-37 earlier in the week.
The Sabercats scaled the state rankings by moving to 863 from 901 this week, the biggest jump in the league. Vela climbed the ranks as a result of falling to Economedes 42-37.
Edinburg North's dynamic duo of Alex Guerrero and Michael Cantu proved tough for Juarez-Lincoln to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Guerrero threw for 140 yards and 3 touchdowns and Cantu had 53 yards receiving.

Carlos Obregon was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 12 carries, he ran for 119 yards as Edinburg defeated Tomas Garcia's team. Teammate Sammy Jimenez added to the ground attack by rushing for 33 yards.
Cantu was the best receiver in 5A Region IV District 30 this week as Roy Garza's team beat Juarez-Lincoln.
Guerrero put up the best numbers in passing as the Cougars defeated Juarez-Lincoln.

The Bobcats' Michael Harrison and Jordan Saldana have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Harrison has thrown for 513 yards this season, while Saldana has 13 catches for 283 yards. Edinburg North's Matthew Whitesides leads the league in rushing yards with 487.
Fans will be treated to a premier battle in the secondary when Edinburg's Saldana goes up against the Cougars' Joey Benitez.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will face off with its top pass rusher when Joey Caceres' team and Edinburg North face off next week.
Next week's game between the Bobcats and the Cougars will feature a good passing match up as Harrison will test his arm against Benitez's defensive ability.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Sharyland takes on Gabe Pena's team. At the moment, the Rattlers are in first, while the Jaguars are in third.
Edinburg North extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Juarez-Lincoln, 33-0. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Cougars.
