Boone County had lost three straight at home, but  on Friday they dropped their record down to 4-21 to make it four. They came up short against  the Scott Eagles, falling  11-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  14-3  back in April.

Meanwhile,  Riley   pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. The dominant performance also gave  her a new career-high in  strikeouts (five). At bat,  Cochran  went 1-for-4 with two  runs and one  RBI, while  Riley  went 1-for-5 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.
 In other batting news, Scott got a  massive  performance out of  Elise Manhardt, who  went 3-for-5 with three  stolen bases and four  runs. That's the most  stolen bases  Manhardt has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Lainey Jones, who  went 3-for-4 with three  stolen bases, one  run,  and one  RBI.
 Coming up, Boone County will challenge Cooper at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Scott, they are taking a road trip to  challenge Ryle  at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday.
