The Resurrection Christian Cougars can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They breezed by Valley on the road to the tune of 80-15. That looming 80-15 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Resurrection Christian yet this season.
Resurrection Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ty Yoder led the charge by scoring 14 points along with five assists and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Barker, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Valley struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
The victory (which was Resurrection Christian's third in a row) raised their record to 11-1. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 48 points. As for Valley, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.
Resurrection Christian will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Eaton at 7:00 p.m. Eaton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while Resurrection Christian is ranked 16th). As for Valley, they will head out on the road to take on Berthoud at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Berthoud is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 62.3 points per game.
