Bear Creek hasn't had much luck against Valor Christian recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Bear Creek Bears will be playing at home against the Valor Christian Eagles at 7:30 p.m.
Bear Creek is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game on Thursday. They came up short against Chatfield, falling 72-46. The Bears were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-19.

Loss or not, Bear Creek got some senior leadership from Rachel Vasey and Olivia Kan. Vasey went 6-for-11 en route to 15 points and five boards, while Kan almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds. Kan also brought in his first three-point shooting accuracy of the season. Another player making a difference was Willow Price, who posted seven points.
Meanwhile, Valor Christian entered their tilt with Arapahoe on Monday with 15 consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with 16. They really took it to the Warriors for the full four quarters, racking up a 72-34 win. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-12.
Bear Creek better focus on containing Quinn VanSickle and Peyton Jones as the pair were huge in Valor Christian's win. VanSickle went 7-for-14 on her way to 23 points in addition to five assists and four steals, while Jones went 10-for-15 to rack up 25 points. Thanks to that strong game, Jones now owns an excellent 40.8% three-point shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Camryn Gunter, who had six points and seven boards.
Valor Christian pushed their record up to 20-2 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.9 points over those games. As for Bear Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-14.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Bear Creek has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 33 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Valor Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 32 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Bear Creek was dealt a bruising 100-18 loss at the hands of Valor Christian when the teams last played back in January. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Bear Creek was down 57-8.
