While Newberry's victory against Whitmire wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bulldogs had just enough and edged out the Wolverines 12-11. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Wolverines recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Newberry's victory bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Whitmire, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-12.

Coming up, Newberry will host Keenan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raiders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.14 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Whitmire, they will venture away from home to challenge Ware Shoals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
