Tri-County - Rock recap Oct. 23, 2012
Valley Christian's A.J. Harris rumbled for the longest rushing play in Tri-County - Rock this season in his game against Berean Christian last week. Harris scampered for 75 yards on the play and finished with 103 on the day as his team topped the Eagles.
El Cerrito extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Pinole Valley, 52-14. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Gauchos.
Howard Wikle was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 195 yards on 14 carries as Valley Christian beat Berean Christian.
St. Mary's's Kevin Flemer and Caleb Coleman have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Tri-County - Rock in both passing and receiving yards. Flemer has thrown for 1461 yards this season, while Coleman has 18 catches for 366 yards. John Parrella's team's Wikle leads the league in rushing yards with 1135.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when El Cerrito takes on the Panthers. As it stands, Kenny Kahn's team is in first, while St. Mary's is in fourth.
The Vikings took down the Eagles 53-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Wikle in the win.
