The South Plaquemines Hurricanes were the 67-38 winner over Thomas Jefferson when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. South Plaquemines fell 47-40 to the on Tuesday.
Despite the loss, South Plaquemines still got an impressive performance from Kameron Stephenson, who scored 16 points.
South Plaquemines' defeat dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Thomas Jefferson, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Plaquemines won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Green Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st. Cohen is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Thomas Jefferson, they will head out on the road to square off against the Comets at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
