Given Northside Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 91st, while Hickory Grove Christian is ranked 328th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northside Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brianna Carelock, who scored 14 points along with seven steals. The team also got some help courtesy of JaKaila Gaskin, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds.
Northside Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. As for Hickory Grove Christian, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
