Niwot and Centaurus are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Cougars will head out on the road to take on the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last five games Niwot has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Tuesday, Niwot didn't have quite enough to beat Horizon and fell 6-5.

Niwot saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matis Castro, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Centaurus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 9-6 to Frederick.

Dylan Glenn and Jack Brutsch were huge no matter where they played even without the win. Throwing, Glenn pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Brutsch tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Furthermore, Glenn didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2025. At bat, Glenn went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run, while Brutsch got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

In other batting news, Ari Schoenwald-Reed made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Parana, who earned two runs and two stolen bases.

Niwot's record now sits at 6-5. As for Centaurus, their record is now 4-7.

Niwot came up short against Centaurus in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, falling 4-1. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
