Crossland suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Potomac at home and fell 68-27. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Crossland in their matchups with Potomac: they've now lost eight in a row.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Douglass over Friendly in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Douglass blew Friendly out of the water with a 71-40 final score. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Douglass has posted since December 12, 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Douglass to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emmanuel Carson, who scored 11 points. makhye mcknight was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with two steals.
Crossland dropped their record down to 0-11 with that defeat, which was their 14th straight at home. As for Douglass, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.
Crossland was dealt a bruising 75-46 loss at the hands of Douglass in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Can Crossland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
