Buchholz is on a 13-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Bartram Trail is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Buchholz Bobcats will take on the Bartram Trail Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Buchholz has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 287 points over their last seven contests.
Buchholz extended their postseason success on Friday against Ponte Vedra. They walked away with a 34-21 win over the Sharks. Buchholz's victory was all the more impressive since Ponte Vedra was averaging only 16.67 points allowed on the season.
Meanwhile, Bartram Trail beat Niceville 28-21 on Friday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bartram Trail to victory, but perhaps none more so than Riley Trujillo, who rushed for 115 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries, and also threw for 122 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Laython Biddle, who rushed for 169 yards and a touchdown.
Buchholz's win bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Bartram Trail, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
