Baseball Recap: Astronaut Gets the Win

With a playoff win on the line, Astronaut rose to the challenge on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Space Coast Vipers 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the War Eagles have posted since March 26, 2024.

Astronaut's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Holden Quinn, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. The War Eagles are 3-1 when Quinn posts two or more stolen bases, but 4-12 otherwise. Brennan Waldrop was another, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one triple.

Astronaut's record now sits at 7-13. As for Space Coast, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Astronaut will face off against Titusville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Space Coast does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
