Harding has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Immaculate Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Connecticut (Harding is ranked 104th, while Immaculate is ranked 91st).
Last Wednesday, Harding was able to grind out a solid victory over Stratford, taking the game 59-50.
Harding got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Craig Chandler out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Zamair Moales, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Immaculate pushed their score all the way to 57 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Newtown 63-57. Immaculate just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
Harding's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Immaculate, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
Harding came up short against Immaculate when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 51-42. Can Harding avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
