Whiteville added to the longest winning streak in 2A/1A Conference 16 this week by beating South Robeson, 42-8. The win marks ninth in a row for the the Wolfpack.
Whiteville took down the Mustangs 42-8 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Malik Livingston was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 13 carries, he ran for 87 yards as St. Pauls lost to the Wolfpack. Teammate Sayvon Sampson added to the ground attack by rushing for 62 yards.
St. Pauls' offense cannot be tamed this season and the Bulldogs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Livingston has thrown for 1,232 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while Tim Billinger has 23 catches for 445 yards. Livingston also leads the league in rushing with 947 yards.
The Bulldogs' Livingston is a mere 53 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. Livingston has rushed for 947 yards on 167 carries so far this year.
An important game coming up in 2A/1A Conference 16 this week will be when Whiteville takes on South Columbus. As it stands, the Wolfpack are in first, while the Stallions are in third.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Whiteville takes on South Columbus. The Wolfpack have allowed 109 points this season, while Jake Fonvielle's team has given up 219. Whiteville allowed 8 points last week as it topped Stephen Roberson's team.
