Mid-Carolina is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Eau Claire get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Gabi Riddle made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Those zero hits allowed gave her a new career-low. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Malloree Grimsley, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Savannah Moore, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Strom Thurmond was able to grind out a solid victory over Pelion on Tuesday, taking the game 8-3.
Emmy Mckie spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Lawsyn Lowe was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last ten games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Addyson Harrison, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Strom Thurmond pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Mid-Carolina, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Wednesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Mid-Carolina has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .456. However, it's not like Strom Thurmond struggles in that department as they've averaged .504. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
